Alone. Waiting.

I passed this small pond with a fountain in the middle. It was a serene corner. But nobody was there. The chair was empty and the pond was without spectators.

My Adenium Collection

My first Adenium (named Adenium Number One) in our new a.k.a own house is from my father's collection. He didn't give it to me willingly, though. I asked for it from my mum and she said something like, "quick. Put it in your car!" Fortunately, the plant grows well in our house so my father's grudge didn't last long.

Adenium Number One

After that, my aunt gave me four others. Those plants were still young when she gave them to me. They are still small right now but two of them have bloomed once or twice. Their flowers were small and the color was pale pink, not as bright as Adenium Number One. I have to admit, my first Adenium is by far still the best of all. When the flowers bloom, the flowers cover the whole plant.

Hairy Green

I forgot where I took this. At my parents' house, if I'm not mistaken. Anyway, I like the hairy thing...

Enlighten Me, Please

I just got some shocking news from someone on my photoblog: Footprints of Nature.

This person says that I have infringed the name of my blog from this site.

I had no idea that the first (or later?) site even existed. And, YES, I didn't check. I had no idea if we had to check the availability of a blog's name (besides, that name didn't exist in blogspot). Mind you, I did have a difficult time to find the perfect name for that blog. Had I known the name existed, believe me, I wouldn't have used it.

So,
Did I intentionally infringe the copyright?
I had no idea. It never crossed my mind.
Then, well, my deepest apology.
I'll change the name to something else. Meanwhile, I need time to change everything. Hopefully you -the anonymous- have the patience to wait. Thank you.

Update: www.footprints-of-nature.blogspot.com no longer exists. Please click www.colorfulspecks.blogspot.com
I hope I have made everybody happy.

I'm still wondering why these pink flowers planted in our garden are expensive. Something to do with the color?

Lantern Nights

I kinda miss Honjo, lately, so I took all my Honjo photo collections out to reminisce our time there. Then, I came across this lantern photos. I almost forgot all about this.
There was a violin recital that night at Waseda-Honjo Shinkansen Station. Since it was a clear starry night (and the premise was just 5-minute walk from the dormitory), we decided to watch the recital.
When we got there, there was lantern exhibition at the same place. Hikari was more interested in watching the lantern, than watching the recital. These are the lanterns:

I tried to take a more dramatic picture here, but I guessed I should've studied more :)

But this one looks like our solar system, don't you think? Ha-ha!

We also took pictures of the other displays: bamboo lamps and glass lamps.

Fujiyama in clouds

Watching the top of Mount Fuji from Hakone area was still breathtaking. Although it was rainy and cloudy, the sight of it blanked our mind for a few minutes. So, THAT's MOUNT FUJI!

Paddy

Early summer in Honjo (2006). This is a view you can see from Honjo-Waseda Shinkansen Station.
To tell you the truth, Indonesia has more beautiful rice fields. Somehow, they are now more difficult to find...
