Paddy

Early summer in Honjo (2006). This is a view you can see from Honjo-Waseda Shinkansen Station.
To tell you the truth, Indonesia has more beautiful rice fields. Somehow, they are now more difficult to find...

Butterfly in Early Summer

Honjo, Summer 2006.
I took these pictures along the way back to the dormitory -which was through a small road between paddy fields and hills.

Live Bright

It's raining still outside. Been like this for three days now. This is something that can cheer me up a bit. I took this photo in Honjo, outside a book store. I struggled with the flower, the wind, and the passerby who thought I was either insane or silly.

Snow to Memorize

It is raining hard outside. It has been raining since last night, and hasn't stopped. At a time like this, I miss Honjo the most. Especially the rain in Honjo forest.
This month is still winter time in Honjo. Snow rarely falls in Honjo, but when it falls, it is beautiful.
This picture was taken right after snow fell in the morning. This was at the dormitory compound. Actually, I have posted this picture here before. But, whenever I miss Honjo, I always remember this picture. This picture is my most favorite.
So, for the second time, enjoy!

Rain and Green

Green, when combined with the freshness of water, can always freshen my day.
Taken right after the rain, right in front of our tiny weenny garden.

My Favorite. Always.

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Roses are great
I always love you...

Rose is my favorite flower. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to grow one when I am (and was) in Jakarta. Honjo, on the other hand, is blessed with soil suitable to grow roses. The roses in Honjo are thick, big, and durable. I heard that it is also the same in other parts of Japan as well.

The picture of the pink rose above was taken when I went to Hakone, Japan.
